Hailing from Walker County, Alabama, I am a 2006 graduate of Dora High School. After a stint in the military, I went back to school to pursue my degree in education. In my career, I have been a core teacher, an Exceptional Education teacher, a head baseball coach, a football coordinator, and, currently, one of the assistant principals at Hueytown High School. 

I received my Bachelor's degree in English Education from the University of Alabama Birmingham. Both of my Master’s and my Ed.S come from the University of West Alabama, the former in Exceptional Education and Instructional Leadership, and the latter in Exceptional Education. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D in Curriculum at Auburn University.
